Morris L. Welshans, 79, of Ottawa Lake, MI, died Tuesday, July 25, 2017. Born September 20, 1937, in Toledo, OH, he was the son of LeRoy S. and Glennadene H. (Morris) Welshans. Morris was employed by the Ford Motor Company as a press operator for 30 years. He retired in 1999. Morris was a member of the U.A.W., Local 723, Monroe, MI and Tomahawk Archer’s in Temperance, MI. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to the cottage in Oscoda, MI.
Morris is survived by his brothers, Dene (Julie) Welshans, and Dale (Darlene) Welshans; loving companion, Julie Jurski; step-children, Karen (Gary), Christina (Paul) and Chris; nieces and nephews, Dale (Dana), Beth (Dianna), Melanie (Joshua), Rhonda, Dawn (Jeff), Dene, Jr., Kathy (Jay), Aleechia and Vanessa; sister-in-law, Cindy Welshans. He was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel Welshans.
Visitation will be from 3-8 pm, Friday, July 28, 2017, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 29, 2017. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
